Pablo Rubio-Vargas is a Mexican composer, multimedia artist and scholar. He holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA) in Composition from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He has worked at different universities as researcher and professor. Recently, he completed a postdoctoral research at UNAM in Mexico. Simultaneously, he has composed for different domestic and abroad orchestras.
Pablo has delved into diverse compositional frameworks that treated spatial dimensions as integral musical elements. His work also involved the incorporation of robotic technologies in the design and construction of both digital and analog instruments, exploring the intersection of technology and musical expression.
